Cancellation Policy:

 

(1) If you must cancel, notify us in writing 45 days prior to your boarding date. Your deposit will be refunded minus a 25% service charge. (2) Cancellations between 45 and 30 days prior to departure are subject to forfeiture of your entire deposit. (3) Cancellations received less than 30 days prior to departure will be subject to charges of full scheduled houseboat rental rates. (4) Any rescheduling will be subject to the same cancellation policies. (5) We regret that we cannot make exceptions for personal emergencies as a cause for cancellations. (6) Balance is due 30 days prior to trip in the form of a personal check or money order. 

Rental Conditions: 
(1) Catfish Hunter (52’) and the Grumpier Old Men (40’) houseboat rentals are rented by the 4-day midweek (Monday - Thursday) the 3-day weekend (Friday - Sunday) or by the 7-day weekly. (2) Boarding times are
pre-scheduled times between 8:30-9:30 AM. Boats must be back by 3:00 PM on the final day. (3) Deposit of $500 for all boats is required at time of reservation for mid-week and weekend rentals; deposit of $1000 is required at the time of reservation for full week rentals. (4) Refunds will not be made on houseboat rentals returned early or late departures. (5) Prior to departure, a lease agreement must be signed and dated and the rental fee paid in full subject to a 5.5% state tax 30 days in advance. (6) Renters are responsible for fuel upon return. (7) Pets are welcome, however prior approval must be obtained and a $100 per animal fee will be charged. (8) Must be 25 years of age to rent or operate boats. (9) To avoid any misunderstandings concerning breakdowns, accidents, inclement weather, or loss of cruising time, we check all mechanical equipment prior to your departure in our houseboat rentals. You need not accept your boat until you are satisfied with your boat and equipment. However, once upon the river, you alone are responsible for its operation. Under these circumstances, we cannot be responsible for any loss of cruising time due to mechanical failure, weather, illness, accident etc. (10) A cleaning fee may apply to boats returned without being cleaned prior to drop off. Cleaning should consist of keeping sand out of the boat with regular sweeping and washing dishes as used and wiping counters and floors with cleaner provided. (11) All used bedding (sheets and pillow cases), towels & dish rags should be removed and piled in the front of the boat for removal by marina personnel. Pillow and comforters should be left on each bed.
